Charity Football Match at Battersea Power Station Project

A team of people from blu-3 at Battersea Power Station took part in a charity 5-a-side football tournament to raise money for charity Help for Heroes. The match was arranged by principal contractor Mace, with several contractors taking part. blu-3 also donated £250 to the cause.

There were 21 teams in total and the blu-3 team played against five teams. We got through to the last 16 but sadly lost out to Keltbray in the quarterfinals.

A lot of people from blu-3 at BPS attended to spectate and support Player of the Tournament went to Alex Fanning whose heroic goalkeeping displays kept us in most of the matches and a special mention to Matt Shave who scored many vital goals.

Everyone really enjoyed the event and had a lot of fun although they were very sore the next day! They said it was a great turn out and collectively a lot of money was raised; believed to be in the region of £10k!
