Home Counties Schools Maintenance

Atkins

In the last year we have undertaken contract maintenance works on schools in Kent, Surrey and London on behalf of Atkins. Our latest project is the development of an existing adult education and youth centre into gymnasium facilities. This project involves the remodelling of existing facilities to accommodate the building of male and female changing rooms, showering amenities and the incorporation of disabled access to all users. The new gymnasium although constrained by budgetary considerations will have full floor to ceiling dance studio mirrors, suspended ceilings and new lighting systems.

Theresa's Court - Bexleyheath

Construction of an exclusive 14 luxury apartment development. Blu-3 were engaged on a design and build basis, managing all aspects of the build programme. Built using traditional brick and block construction techniques, this property is finished to the highest standards as dictated by the client's target market.

Project Allenby Connaught

EDF Energy

Blu-3 are currently working with EDF Energy and MUJV to upgrade the existing power network as part of the ADCW programme on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. Acting as principle contractor to EDF, our security cleared personnel support our client in their delivery of robust solutions and proactively identify issues at design stage, working within a Integrated Delivery Team (IDT) business model. These works include infrastructure installation (LV) including Jointing and reinstatement work all which support the capital works programme for the improvement of accomodation for military personnel.

Project Allenby Connaught

Veolia MUS

Due to difficulties with their existing contractor, Blu-3 were asked to mobilise security cleared resources to help our client overcome a difficult period whilst remaining on schedule with the master programme. These works included deep drainage (circa 4m) diversions, construction of soak-aways, installation of clean water PE and new connections, including all chlorination.

Reinstatement Term Contract

Southern Gas Networks

Blu-3 were appointed the principle period reinstatement contractor for South London in January 2009. This two year challenging contract entails completing highway works following gas engineering works to final completion within two days and on routes whcih are particularly traffic sensitive, a one day turn around. Client and local authority communication and liaison is key to making this contract successful particularly with the recent implementation of the new Permit system employed on London roads following the Traffic management act. Quality is also a major consideration in this demanding field which to date is meeting all of our clients expectations.

Snowdonia

Carilion plc

Blu-3 are responsible for placing the existing overhead power lines underground in Snowdonia, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Working closely with our clients and in association with Scottish Power and The Welsh Assembly, these works will improve the aesthetics of the National Park and ensure it will continue to be regarded as one of the UK's premier tourist destinations.
